Dearest Jean,

I got your swell letter this morning and it made everything right with the world. Darling I can hardly believe it — shortly we’ll be together again — and if that isn’t the answer to this G.I.’s prayers I don’t know what would be.

However, hon’ I can’t make it this next weekend ‘cause we’re restructured next Saturday ‘till sometime late in the afternoon, and that would make it too late for a weekend pass. Next Saturday, of all Saturday’s, they’re pulling a Dental Inspection, and our whole Hq. Units are restricted ’till it’s over with. The next weekend though, that’s another story! Can you leave on the 13th? And how many days can you get off?

I can get a pass for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and maybe even Wednesday. With that pass I can leave here at about 4:30 Friday 12th) and get to Cleveland that same night (that’s from knowing the right people — leaving Friday I mean). You let me know what train you’re coming on and I can meet you at the station in Cleveland. The 7:30 A.M. out of Sheboygan would be the best, but you better let me know what line it is — just in case there’s more than one depot in Cleveland. Darling I can hardly wait.

I tried to call Sammy this afternoon but couldn’t get him. I’ll try again tomorrow. I’m almost certain he’s all wet about our being ready to pack up and move right away, so don’t worry about that.

So sweet, can you get to Cleveland  on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 13th)? What line will you take? And how long can you stay?

I’ll write again tomorrow so I’ll say adios for now and get this in the mail. Sweet dreams dearest — I’ll bet I have a dilly tonight — all about Cleveland — I love you.

Louis

P.S. Don’t bother to send your letter special delivery ‘cause in the army they’re delivered with the regular mail.
